Smile & Stars was born from a simple belief: that small acts of kindness can create big changes in the lives of children and their families. Every gesture, every moment of care, carries the power to bring hope where it’s needed most.
We are a community of volunteers, supporters, and staff who work together to provide emotional, material, and human support. From hospitals to homes, our mission is to ensure every child feels seen, cherished, and loved.
A Story Built on
Kindness
Smile & Stars was born from the heart of a nurse who spent nearly ten years at Sainte-Justine Hospital, surrounded by children, parents, and stories of courage. During the pandemic, she returned to help in long-term care facilities, driven by the same need to help, support, and comfort.
In her childhood, she also watched her grandfather distribute bags of food to families in the neighborhood at church. His organization, called "Le Pain" (The Bread), lasted almost 20 years and left its mark on the entire community. Today, she carries on the tradition with her own dream: to offer heart, time, tenderness, and a touch of magic to families who need it most.
